61 South

61 South

Named for the famed road that leads from Memphis south down through the Mississippi delta, the 61 South pays tribute to the artists who were born and played in the towns off Highway 61 like Clarksdale, Helena, Leland and Indianola.

The 61 South comes with a Kent Armstrong designed P90 at the neck and tapped single coil at the bridge. Pulling up the tone knob allows you to cut or 'tap' approximately 25% of the bridge pickup signal. Tapping the coil takes the muscular and punchy single coil and and makes it clean and clear. The 3-way switch gives you the ability to isolate the neck or bridge pick-up; and the option to utilize both.

Mississippi Bluesmaster

With the rich, swampy sounds of the Delta in mind, we have taken our coveted Bluesmaster to a place that some may find it impossible to come back from. A shorter 24 3/4 inch scale length body and neck, crafted from mahogany and topped with an Indian Rosewood slab fretboard, produces a deep, bottom end never before heard from a Bluesmaster. Combine this with your choice of dual Humbuckers, for a hotter, more aggressive sound, or the cool, sweet sting of dual vintage P-90s, and you’re back to the crossroads with a decision to make. Which road do I take?

At the neck, deep, rich blues becomes very 60s surf.

The B-IV gives the classic Bluesmaster design a slightly modern makeover. We’ve added a moderately high output custom wound St. Blues HB-II Humbucker to the popular B-II set-up so you can grab those classic rock tones out of any mid to high-gain amp, along with some seriously heavy chunk.
